high chairs

i need high chair help. any ideas on what kind to get? i'd like it to be table height so we can all sit together. either the clip on kind like this phil and teds high chair, or the kind that looks like a real seat, like this tripp trapp high chair by stokke (you know, but not $250).

griffin's weekend according to my iphone

scott's parents came into town to hang out and visit, and we painted the living room! i'll post about that soon.

5 months old

5 month old griffin chews on everything, finally loves his sophie the giraffe (see him making out with her in that picture?), and can almost sit on his own. he is a very mellow baby, takes several 1 hour naps a day (really, griff, you can't take a 2 hour nap? what the heck?!), sleeps 12 hours through.the.night, and still wears 0-3 month clothes. he's our peanut and we are so in love with him. i can't believe he's 5 months old already. it is going by too fast.

happy father's day

to the best dad in the world. this photo was taken when little griffin was just 3 days old, and it was our first time getting to hold him. we found out about griffles one year ago today, and he has been the most amazing gift. happy father's day, scott (one day late). we love you.

entryway

i want this entryway. the photos, the jars, the antlers, that succulent inside a cheese dome. it's all amazing and i want my entryway to look like this. scott's parents come into town on thursday and we are putting them to work! our big plans are to paint the living room and entryway (and maybe the hallway if we have time), change the layout of the living room, and get some paintings, pictures, etc. up on the walls. i'm so excited (and i'll post before, during, and after photos).

remember this post from this morning? lies. all lies. i can't believe i jinxed myself like that. griffin has had a rough day. he's barely slept. he's only eating 3 ounces at a time, and he is just screaming because he's so tired. he finally fell asleep 10 minutes ago. we'll see how long this lasts for.

scott "that was the weirdest question ever".

side notes:

1. i was thinking of these popsicle molds and scott always talks about how he wants to make popsicles with griffin when he gets older.

2. scott really does want a machete so he can hack away all the bushes and flowers in our yard i hate

teaching griffin

teaching this kid to nap in his crib in the daytime (versus the swing, in my arms, etc) is going surprisingly well. very happy about that.

wedding wedding wedding

we've made a lot of decisions regarding the wedding. we're meeting with the florist in a week and a half. we've booked our planner, venues, photographer, videographer, and are about to book a DJ. the lovely amanda wallace is going to be doing our invites and i'm so excited to start working on them. i'm really excited to start working on the little details: escort cards, table numbers, favors, the cake, etc.

isn't this cake topper so adorable? together forever is a great etsy shop (and the best is she can make the little outfits match your tux & gown!!) and i'm super excited to work with her for our custom cake topper!

in other wedding news: i bought my wedding dress!!! i absolutely love it, and while i won't post a photo of it on here, i will post a photo of the dress i almost bought:

sottero & midgley dorothy dress

this one was a very close second, and it was super hard to decide, but i love the dress i chose, and can't wait for april 28th so i can walk down the aisle to scott and show off the dress. now that there's a dress i feel like the wedding is actually happening. i love it.
