2 month old Griffin

weighs 9lbs 12oz (which seems teeny but considering he was 5lbs 14oz at birth it's pretty good) and 21 1/2 inches long. he had some vaccinations so he's been sleeping all day and he's pretty much the most amazing thing ever. he coos and smiles and will sometimes mimic a sound you make. he loves to stare at you and play and loves his swing. according to our doctor he's "medically perfect" which is a huge relief to me since he's our precious gastro baby. we've been through so much for him to be here and now look at him. he's the yummiest little baby ever!

he's smiling in the last picture! he started smiling for me about a week ago, and it's amazing. i haven't been fast enough to take a picture of it yet, but there it is!! i LOVE him.

bridal shower ideas

while scott and i are throwing around ideas concerning the wedding, an engagement party, and the bachelor/bachelorette parties i've been day dreaming about decor for an engagement or bridal party. i love this "eat" board. i want to make one in our colors for the wedding. also, i'm obsessed with the layered pink cake. based on this martha stewart cake, i think this pink layered cake would be awesomely girly for the shower. also: pink flowers in white mason jars and sofia champagne in a can. love. thanks to becca for introducing me to green wedding shoes, where i found these photos.

iPhone

scott got me an iPhone for my birthday, and it is the greatest present ever. i love it. i downloaded the instagram app and can take amazing pictures with really nice effects (they make them look like old family photos, and i love it). i also just downloaded the 8mm app to do the same thing but for videos. LOVES. i can't wait to take some video with griffin. i really want to take cute videos, set them to music, and send them out to the grandmas and grandpas.
